Laurent Laughlin is an award-winning Director of Photography and video-journalist based out of Athens Greece. He produces and shoots long and short format documentaries as well as explainers. He has won the Human Rights Press Award and the European Migration Media Award, one of his films was part of the official selection of the Thessaloniki Film Festival. He is a National Geographic Explorer and created the series System Error with Vice News during the pandemic. He has worked for a number of media outlets over the years including, VICE NEWS, The New York Times, TIME, AFP, The Economist, CNN, and covered a range of topics including the Syrian conflict, the refugee crisis and wildfires in Greece. He has a strong track record of producing compelling stories that reach millions of views. Laughlin is a certified drone pilot in the A1, A2, A3 category.
